MAA Group Berhad (“MAAG”) is pleased to present our Sustainability Statement. Recognizing the ever-increasing relevance of sustainability in our business value, our statement aims to make the three pillars of Economic, Environmental and Social (“EES”) concerns key parts of our business operations. The disclosures include MAAG head office operations, the Education sectors which consists of Imperium International College (“IIC”), St John International School (“SJIS”), Kasturi Academy (“Kasturi”), the Hospitality sector under the H360 Group of Companies and finally, the Insurance sector involving of MAA General Assurance Philippines, Ltd (“MAAGAP”).

At MAAG, we are not merely focusing our efforts to improve the financial performance of our businesses but also, to integrate sustainable practices such as environmental conservation and social welfare into the heart of our business decisions.

 

THE BUDIMAS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (BUDIMAS) View More

The Budimas Charitable Foundation (“Budimas”) was established in 1998 with the mission to provide guidance and funding in support of the welfare and well-being of orphans and underprivileged children in Malaysia. Budimas Home Charity Fund (BHCF) supports more than 2,000 children in 42 charitable homes across Malaysia. Budimas Food Charity Fund (BFCF) provides breakfast to over 5,000 poor children in 151 schools nationwide. The foundation had also built and currently manages 9 children’s libraries in rural villages as well as Orang Asli settlements which is funded by Budimas Education Charity Fund (BECF).

 

MAAEDICARE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (MAAEDICARE) View More

Yayasan Amal Maaedicare or Maaedicare Charitable Foundation ("Maaedicare") (MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation est. 1994) is an independent public trust fund and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of MAA Group to provide treatment to needy kidney failure patients. Today, YAM has grown by leaps and bounds to become the second largest dialysis provider in Malaysia, caring for more than 800 patients at 11 dialysis centres nationwide with a total of 196 machines. In September 2018, YAM opened its doors to cardiac services with the first charitable cardiac diagnostic and treatment centre – the Maaedicare Cardiac Diagnostic Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This 4-bedded facility provides cardiac health screening services such as ECG, 2D-Echocardiogram, Exercise Stress Test, X-rays and CT-scans, diagnostic coronary angiogram, and consultation with a team of renowned interventional and non-invasive cardiologists at highly subsidised rates.
